Geekbench AI is an app that allows you to test the performance of your Mac in tasks related to machine learning. In other words, the program will test both the CPU and GPU (or even NPU if your computer has one) to determine if your Mac is truly ready for some of the most cutting-edge AI apps.

A simple and easy-to-use interface

Geekbench AI is very easy to use thanks to its convenient interface. In the main tab you can see all your computer's system information: Operating System, Model, Processor, RAM, etc. Just below this, you can choose between several AI Frameworks and AI Backends, and start Benchmarking. This process can take between one and five minutes, depending on your Mac. As soon as it is complete, a new tab will open in your browser where you can see the results.

Learn how to read the results

In order to understand the scores shown in the browser tab that opens after Benchmarking, you should be aware that all Geekbench AI scores are calibrated against a standardized score of 1500. Anything above this figure is a good score, anything below means that it is not advisable to use the Mac for this type of task. If, despite receiving a poor score, you decide to use the Mac for AI, it is possible that it will overheat.

Geekbench AI is totally free, but the app requires constant Internet access in its free version. The only way to use the app without an Internet connection is to purchase a Pro license. Geekbench AI Pro allows you to use its features offline, automate Benchmarks and even use the program in portable mode from a USB device.
